1st Time Students

Bikram Yoga is a great place to begin your yoga practice.

First time students must arrive at least 15 minutes early. Be prepared to work hard and sweat. The room is heated to 105 degrees. Women and Men prefer to wear loose fit, light weight athletic clothing that they would feel comfortable wearing for an extensive long distance run. Classes are 90 minutes. Please bring water, yoga mat and a large towel. In case you forget to bring supplies, we also sell water and rent yoga mats and towels. We advise no food 2 hours prior to a class.

At BYSB the classes are challenging, and you will work hard, but we never pressure students to push themselves beyond what is right for their body.  We understand that everyone is working with their own physical, and mental challenges, so we encourage students to take short breaks during class and rest when they need to.
